Are the Patriots reportedly getting closer to landing a proven playmaker for Drake Maye?
According to The Athletic’s Chad Graff, the Patriots are currently hosting free-agent receiver Stefon Diggs in hopes of signing the 31-year-old wideout to a contract.
Diggs’ value has taken a hit after suffering a torn ACL in October with the Houston Texans. But before that injury, Diggs had long-established himself as one of the top playmakers in the NFL, earning two All-Pro nods and posting six consecutive 1,000-yard seasons before last year’s injury.
According to Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald, the Patriots “will want to gather information on Diggs’ medicals as he recovers from a torn ACL” before potentially agreeing to a contract.
