The New England Patriots had running back Shane Watts in for a visit on Monday, according to ESPN’s Mike Reiss.
Watts excelled at the Division II level, playing for Fort Hays State. He recorded 1,303 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns on the ground. He also proved effective in the passing game, recording 449 receiving yards and four touchdowns on the year.
He posted back-to-back 200-plus-yard rushing games last October, with 201 yards versus Missouri Southern and 250 yards against Emporia State.
He began his collegiate career as a defensive back before switching over to the running back spot in 2023.
