Patriots reportedly host pair of rookie tryouts at mandatory minicamp

Mandatory minicamp got underway with an additional two attendees in Foxborough.

The New England Patriots had guard Marcus Wehr and linebacker Wesley Steiner in for tryouts on Monday, according to a report from Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald.

Both free agents went undrafted in April.

Wehr, 24, converted from the defensive line to the offensive line while at Montana State, where he started his final 35 appearances. After earning first-team All-Big Sky honors at right tackle in 2023, the 6-foot-2, 298-pound Billings native earned first-team All-Big Sky honors at right guard in 2024.
