The practice squad has returned to capacity for the New England Patriots.
The organization signed wide receiver Mathew Sexton to the group of 16 on Wednesday, as first reported by the Boston Herald’s Doug Kyed.
The Eastern Michigan product was among 13 free agents in Foxborough for workouts the afternoon prior.
Sexton, 26, went undrafted after totaling 1,335 receiving yards, 430 return yards and 10 combined touchdowns during his MAC career, which also included a trio of blocked kicks through 43 games. A 2020 stint in The Spring League followed before reaching contracts with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Kansas City Chiefs.
