The New England Patriots have signed veteran safety Sean Davis to the practice squad, Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reported Wednesday.
Davis, 27, worked out for the organization to begin the week and was spotted wearing No. 30 at practice.
The Maryland product entered the league in the second round of the 2016 draft with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He has appeared in 73 games and made 47 starts since then, including postseason, to tally 287 tackles, 3.5 sacks, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries and five interceptions.
Davis reconvened with the Steelers in 2020 after spending the offseason with the Washington Football Team.
