Some of its best teams -- sports cars with oversized spoilers and souped-up SUVs alike -- would be spinning out on a weekly basis, unwilling or unable to identify the problem and react accordingly. The Patriots, meanwhile, would be the sedan rolling along safely in the breakdown lane, avoiding trouble, getting to where they want to go.
