Younghoe Koo joined fellow kicker Mike Nugent on the New England Patriots’ practice fields Friday.
His reported arrival as part of the practice squad is now official.
The Patriots announced the release of rookie wide receiver Kelvin McKnight as the corresponding move to make room for Koo.
McKnight, who signed to New England’s practice squad on Wednesday, spent the preseason with the Denver Broncos after going undrafted out of Samford. The 5-foot-8, 186-pound McKnight finished his collegiate career the school’s all-time leader in receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns, and caught seven passes for 43 yards while with the Broncos this August.
