Patriots release more than a dozen players in first wave of roster cuts

Patriots coach Mike Vrabel announced on Friday that the Patriots have made more than a dozen roster cuts as Tuesday’s deadline to trim the roster down to 53 players approaches.

Here’s who is on the list:

LB RJ Moten

The Patriots brought Moten, a 6-foot, 224-pound linebacker in last month on the same day they placed Brock Lampe on injured reserve.

He joined New England as an undrafted free agent out of Florida after playing in the UFL during the spring. He made three tackles during the preseason, including two in Thursday’s finale.
