With a 4 p.m. deadline on Saturda looming the Patriots released 10 players including quarterback Ryan Lindley, wide receivers DaVaris Daniels and Zach D’Orazio, running back Tony Creecy, offensive linemen Chris Martin and Caylin Hauptmann, and defensive linemen Casey Walker and AJ Pataiali’I, offensive lineman Ryan Groy was also waived with an injury designation.
The only surprise cut was linebacker James Morris, the UDFA from Iowa spent time twice with the team last spring/summer before ending up on IR. During this season’s preseason, he was one of the most players with the most defensive snaps.
