For the second time in three games, New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones couldn’t hold his postgame press conference because he was being evaluated for an injury.
After the Patriots’ 20-7 loss to the Miami Dolphins in their season-opening game on Sept. 11, Jones had a back injury sustained on a roughing-the-passer penalty. The former Alabama All-American played every offensive snap in that game and was back for every one in Game 2, too, when New England defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 17-14 last week.
The Patriots are hoping to be so fortunate this time.
