New England Patriots quarterback Josh Dobbs is impressed with wide receiver Efton Chism III, who put together a strong performance in the preseason opener against the Washington Commanders.
All told, the undrafted rookie caught six passes for 50 yards and a touchdown, averaging 8.3 yards per catch. He followed that performance up by making the play of the day in practice on Sunday with a leaping touchdown grab over veteran cornerback Marcus Jones.
The playmaking abilities of Chism were on display throughout the spring practices as well. He's a player who has consistently shined on offense for the Patriots, and the quarterbacks are beginning to take notice.
