The Patriots practiced out in the cold today in shells and sweats. Among the missing were offensive lineman Marcus Cannon, who has been dealing with an ankle injury, defensive lineman Malcom Brown, who also has an ankle problem, offensive lineman Nate Solder, likely excused for personal reasons as his son Hunter undergoes cancer treatment, and wide receiver Chris Hogan, who is dealing with a shoulder injury.
Also not present for the start of the workout was linebacker Shea McClellin, who is still on injured reserve, but has been on the clock to be activated. This is the first time he's been missing.
