The Patriots' decision to sign Stefon Diggs in free agency to be the clear No. 1 receiver for Drake Maye was met with mixed reactions from analysts and fans. The primary reason for concern was his past with forcing his way off of teams with what many would refer to as a diva attitude, and that was not something the Patriots locker room needed now or in the future.
Because of that, there was a lot of skepticism surrounding his signing, even more so with him coming off an ACL injury that prematurely ended his lone season with the Texans in 2024.
