Patriots may have blown their chance to stabilize shaky offensive line

Before the Patriots had to finalize their initial 53-man roster for the 2025 season, there were a lot of concerns regarding a lack of depth across nearly all positions. That was particularly worrisome with the offensive line, as Mike Vrabel made it clear that they were far from determining who the starting lineup would be, yet they released several linemen ahead of the cutdown deadline.

Because they still have the most cap space to utilize for the upcoming season, there was some belief that they would attempt to claim players hitting the waiver wire, or even acquire several players who would become free agents after being cut.
