The New England Patriots made a flurry of moves Tuesday afternoon as cutdown day draws closer.
The Pats signed running back Micah Bernard and defensive tackle Philip Blidi. They released cornerback Tre Avery and defensive end Jereme Robinson, as well.
Bernard is an undrafted rookie who signed with the Titans in May but was released in June. A Utah product, he had 2,298 yards rushing with 11 touchdowns in his college career.
Blidi’s NFL route to date is similar to Bernard’s. Undrafted out of Auburn, Blidi joined the Titans in May, but wasn’t cut loose until Sunday.
