Patriots lock up special teamer Brandon King

The Patriots locked up Brandon King, one of their core special teamers, with a two-year contract extension worth $2.6 million yesterday.

King represents another special teams domino to fall. The Patriots extended Brandon Bolden to a one-year extension last month. There could be more to follow, especially with Matthew Slater, Nate Ebner and Johnson Bademosi, all key members of the special teams, due to hit free agency next week.

“It’s been a great thing with all those guys. Everyone brings different things to the table,” said King.
