Former New England Patriots center David Andrews cracked a hilarious joke during Friday's preseason opener, and it came at the expense of his former teammate, Devin McCourty.
McCourty was in the booth serving as a commentator for the Patriots' 48-18 win over the Washington Commanders. Rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson, who now wears McCourty's former No. 32 jersey, had a monstrous night with a 100-yard kickoff return, an 18-yard run and three catches for 12 yards.
His strong performance prompted Andrews to take a playful shot at his former teammate.
"I like this new #32 so much better already than Devin McCourty," Andrews posted on X during the game.
