Patriots’ latest practice squad addition turns heads for all the right reasons

The New England Patriots have yet to add a big name in the trade market despite numerous rumors, but have added a highly touted draft pick to their practice squad. The practice quad already features some talented players: preseason standouts John Jiles and Miles Battle, productive defensive tackle Jeremiah Pharms, and three-time Super Bowl Champion Darius Harris.

Now, Richie Grant, the 40th overall pick in 2021, is added to that cache of players.

Grant, 27, was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons at the beginning of the second round in 2021 from UCF. The Central Florida standout played five seasons with the Golden Knights and was one of the team's best players.
