The mother of New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick, and grandmother of assistants Steve and Brian, has passed away. Jeannette Belichick, as was confirmed by the team, died at the age of 98 in Annapolis, Maryland due to natural causes.
Jeannette Belichick, née Munn, taught Spanish and French at Hiram College where she met Steve Belichick, the program’s football and basketball head coach, in the 1940s. The couple was married in 1950 and two years later welcomed their only child, Bill, to the family. In 1956, when Steve started working at the Naval Academy, they relocated to Annapolis.
