Patriots have easy way to cut ties with $36 million star after drafting TreVeyon Henderson

TreVeyon Henderson might be the future of the New England Patriots' running back room.

In fact, the Ohio State star might be the present, too.

That leaves the Pats with a key decision looming after Henderson's rookie season: What to do with Rhamondre Stevenson?

They gave him a four-year, $36 million contract, but he's already on the verge of being expendable.

The Athletic's Chad Graff thinks New England would be just fine getting rid of Stevenson if it came to that.

"The Patriots don’t really have an obvious contract problem, either in terms of potential holdouts or deals that must get done," Graff writes.
