The New England Patriots were not immune to the cabin fever that came with coronavirus quarantine this year. So when players finally put on pads for the first full-on training camp practice this season, there was an extra layer of excitement.
“Honestly, it seemed awesome man,” safety Terrence Brooks said. “Everyone was excited. They’re ready to go. I was telling the guys in the locker room, it feels like we’re in Pop Warner, us getting in pads again.”
The Patriots have had a slow rollout so far as the team returns to Gillette Stadium for training camp.
