The New England Patriots had three characteristics in mind when they were preparing to select a kicker in the 2025 NFL draft. They wanted consistency, character and the ability to improve.
So they landed on University of Miami kicker Andres Borregales in the sixth round with the 182nd overall pick.
Not only was Borregales one of the most decorated kickers in the program's history, but he was arguably the best kicker in the entire country. He made 86 percent of his field goals and converted 183-of-184 extra point attempts.
His senior year was especially impressive with him making 18-of-19 field goals and converting all 62 of his extra points.
