Following four training camp practices, the New England Patriots are scheduled to have their first practice in pads on Monday, via ESPN's Mike Reiss.
The team has held competitive drills in helmets and shorts throughout the spring and the first week of training camp. With the pads coming on, fans will have an opportunity to get a more realistic look at where the team currently stands in its preparation for the regular season.
The intensity will ramp up with tackling and trench-fighting. There is no better gauge of talent than physical competition on the football field.
