After a few weeks of angst around the NFL, which revolved around 30 of the 32 rookies drafted in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft remaining unsigned heading into training camp, the ball has finally gotten rolling. For the New England Patriots, that means penning Ohio State running back TreVeyon Henderson to his rookie contract.
Per Adam Schefter of ESPN, in a tweet sent out on Friday night, the Patriots and Henderson had agreed to a fully guaranteed four-year contract that will pay Henderson $11.43 million with a $4.74 million signing bonus. Henderson becomes one of many early second-round picks from the 2025 NFL Draft who have had their rookie contracts fully guaranteed, something that had never happened in the NFL until this season.
