FOXBOROUGH — Kyle Dugger has quickly gone from a starting safety to a potential cut candidate.
When the summer first began, the presumption was that Dugger would be right alongside Jabrill Peppers when the New England Patriots take the field to start the season. However, he has completely fallen down the depth chart, playing the entire third and fourth quarter in Saturday's preseason game along with spending Monday on scout-team defense.
So, that brought up a very important question for Patriots executive vice president of player personnel Eliot Wolf: Does Dugger still have a role?
