New England Patriots defensive coordinator Terrell Williams believes the team is prepared to play without All-Pro cornerback Christian Gonzalez, if he's unable to suit up for the regular season opener against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Gonzalez's recovery from a lingering hamstring injury has been one of the biggest storylines through most of training camp. He has worked on the side during practices this week, but given how much time he's been out, there are serious concerns that he won't be ready to go by Sunday.
Regardless of what happens, it will be the next man up mentality for the Patriots heading into their first game of the season.
