Patriots bring back 2021 starter as free agent signing after a detour to the UFL

The New England Patriots brought back an old friend in an effort to add depth.

The Pats have signed offensive lineman Yasir Durant to a one-year deal, per MLFootball.

Durant played seven games for the Patriots in 2021, starting one of them.

He was originally an undrafted free agent in 2020 out of Missouri who signed with the Chiefs.

After Kansas City and New England, Durant then went to the Saints and the Broncos for one-year stints.

Since then, Durant has played two spring seasons for the DC Defenders in the UFL.
