Patriots agree to two-year deal with OT LaAdrian Waddle

The New England Patriots addressed depth at offensive tackle by agreeing to a two-year deal with restricted free agent LaAdrian Waddle on Tuesday night.

Waddle, formerly of the Lions, was claimed on waivers by the Patriots in December. He was scheduled for restricted free agency this offseason, and his return through 2017 layers the depth chart at a position where Sebastian Vollmer and Marcus Cannon enter the final year of their contracts. Starting left tackle Nate Solder's deal ends after the 2017 season.

After claiming Waddle in December, coach Bill Belichick said, "We feel like he's a very talented guy and a solid guy.
