The Patriots signed former Texans defensive end Darrell Taylor to the practice squad on Wednesday, four days before hosting Houston in the divisional round, according to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport.
Taylor was a second-round pick in 2020 and has had stints with the Seahawks, Bears, and Texans. Houston waived him earlier in the week.
His most productive season was with Seattle in 2022, when he posted 9.5 sacks and forced four fumbles along with 26 total tackles. He posted those numbers as a situational pass-rusher, starting just three of the 16 games that year.
