The New England Patriots could look much different when they return to the field next fall.
Nineteen Pats players are scheduled to become free agents this spring. Among them are wide receivers Jakobi Meyers and Nelson Agholor along with running back Damien Harris.
The biggest difference next season could be a change in leadership with longtime team captains Devin McCourty and Matthew Slater pondering retirement as their Patriots contracts expire. Both players were emotional as they reflected on what very well could have been their final NFL game on Sunday.
