Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson was one of the more coveted free agent wideouts last year following his four-year run with the New York Jets — and there was a possibility that he could have signed with the New England Patriots.
Anderson was linked with multiple teams for a multi-year free-agent deal, but in the end, he agreed to sign with the Panthers on a two-year, $20 million deal.
However, he did also receive interest from the Patriots for a possible free-agent deal in the offseason.
In speaking during a press conference ahead of the Panthers’ Week 9 home clash against the Patriots, Anderson revealed that head coach Bill Belichick made a push to sign him last year.
