Opinion: J.C. Jackson doesn't think he's important to the Patriots, but team's radio silence is no surprise

J.C. Jackson isn’t feeling the love from the Patriots.

The All-Pro cornerback and potential free agent spoke with NBC Sports Boston on Tuesday and revealed he hasn’t heard from the Patriots. With free agency set to begin in three weeks, that’s left Jackson with the conclusion that he no longer matters in New England.

"I guess they feel like they don't need me," Jackson told NBC Sports Boston’s Phil Perry. "I guess I can't be that important to them. I know I am, but they're not showing me."

The comment elicited plenty of emotion from Patriots nation.
