New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye had a disastrous period at the first open practice to media members during organized team activities last week. He threw four interceptions in competitive 11-on-11s with two of the picks going to All-Pro cornerback Christian Gonzalez.
However, according to ESPN's Mike Reiss, those who were in attendance at last Thursday's closed-to-the-media practice described Maye as having a much better outing against the Patriots' defense.
Reiss wrote:
"Those who were at Thursday's closed-to-the-media practice held inside due to the rain described him as sharp and turnover-free.
