No fans allowed at New England Patriots training camp this summer (report)

Fans won’t be able to watch Cam Newton and Jarrett Stidham duel for New England’s starting gig this summer — at least not in person anyway.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, spectators won’t be allowed at training camp, but the Patriots will be able to have a pair of fan events at Gillette Stadium if they want.

Update on where things stand 18 days out:
— Almost everything is done and agreed to except for number of preseason games and testing protocols.
— No fans will be at training camp, but teams can have up to two fan events at stadiums this preseason with strict protocols if allowed— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) July 10, 2020

Rapoport also reports in places where fans are allowed at games, they’ll need to wear face coverings, and there’s no word on preseason contests yet.
