Nick Thurman reverts to Patriots’ practice squad following Week 2 elevation

Defensive lineman Nick Thurman reverted to the New England Patriots’ practice squad on Monday, according to the transaction wire.

Thurman, 25, had been a standard elevation to the active roster ahead of Sunday’s 35-30 loss to the Seattle Seahawks at CenturyLink Field.

It marked Thurman’s first NFL game beyond the preseason, and it saw the University of Houston product record his first career tackle on a three-yard rush by Seahawks running back Chris Carson in the third quarter.

Thurman played a total of five snaps for the New England defense. He now returns to a scout team of 16 without being subject to the waiver system.
