For the second time in the last three seasons, the New England Patriots will host the Dallas Cowboys. The NFL schedule formula was reshuffled this past offseason to allow for the addition of a 17th game, and this is that game for each team.
With the new schedule format comes some unusual circumstances for these two teams. Dallas —who has spent the last several seasons flip-flopping between winning and losing records— will serve as the measuring stick, headed into this matchup with a 4-1 record and one of the NFL’s most dangerous offenses. New England on the other hand, is still looking to find an identity and/or some consistency on each side of the ball.
