Quarterback Tom Brady has the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC Championship Game. Head coach Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots didn’t even qualify for the playoffs. And that, as they say, is that, when it comes to the Patriots’ two-decade Super Bowl dynasty.
Belichick turned to former NFL MVP Cam Newton in 2020 to keep the offense afloat without Brady, and it sunk to the bottom of Boston Harbor. The Patriots finished in third place in the AFC East with a 7-9 record.
It could be more of the same in 2021, according to Pro Football Focus, which is out with its list of top free agents this year, including projected landing spots.
