NFL reportedly set to allow players to participate in flag football at 2028 Olympics

The NFL and the Olympics: Flag football will make its Olympic debut at the Los Angeles Summer Games in 2028, and the NFL is set to move one step closer to allowing its players to participate in the international competition.

According to multiple reports, including both ESPN’s Adam Schefter and NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, league owners are poised to vote on Tuesday in favor of allowing league players to participate in the sport’s Olympic debut.

“It like there’s momentum toward getting this thing done, getting NFL players to participate in the Olympics, playing flag football,” Rapoport said.
