The draft order for the 2023 NFL Draft has started to get locked in. The New England Patriots now have the No. 14 overall pick in the draft.
The pick (barring a trade) will be Bill Belichick’s highest draft selection since the team drafted Jerod Mayo No. 10 overall in 2008.
With the regular season finished, the first 18 picks of the draft have been determined as non-playoff teams finish out their regular-season runs.
The Patriots finished the season at 8-9 after Sunday’s loss to the Buffalo Bills. They will pick just behind the New York Jets (7-9) and just ahead of the Green Bay Packers, who will drop back because of their strength of schedule.
