A Giants-Eagles rivalry with a Patriots twist could be one strong Josh McDaniels first impression away.
McDaniels, 44, the longtime New England Patriots offensive coordinator, reportedly will meet with Philadelphia Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie on Sunday in Florida.
If the Eagles hired McDaniels, then half the NFC East would be led by Bill Belichick proteges, with former Patriots special teams coordinator Joe Judge, 39, now roaming the Giants’ sideline in New York.
McDaniels initially tried to bring Judge with him to the Indianapolis Colts in Feb. 2018, but the Patriots fought to keep Judge and McDaniels eventually backed out of the Colts job altogether.
