The Patriots’ first offensive coordinator under head coach Jerod Mayo, Alex Van Pelt, will reportedly be involved in the team’s development and decision at the quarterback position.
After the announcement of Van Pelt’s hiring this week, NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport said New England will look to the 53-year-old when it comes to its signal-caller in 2024 and their growth.
“The fact that he’s going to have a heavy hand in the future franchise quarterback for the Patriots is very important in New England,” Rapoport said.
Van Pelt, an NFL quarterback turned QB coach and offensive coordinator, is a veteran on the sideline.
