New England Patriots reveal 53-man roster

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. —

The New England Patriots on Tuesday announced a series of roster moves to reach the mandatory 53-man roster limit.

The Patriots' roster has a couple of surprises -- perhaps mostly because of the players not on the list.

Offensive lineman Cole Strange, a 2022 first-round draft pick of former coach Bill Belichick, was cut. Strange missed most of last season with a knee injury and only played in three games. The NFL lists his contract as fully guaranteed.

Two other draftees cut were taken this year by Coach Mike Vrabel -- fifth round edge Bradyn Swinson from LSU and seventh round cornerback Kobee Minor out of Memphis.
