New England Patriots add former Alabama high school standout

Defensive end Jereme Robinson has signed with the New England Patriots, the NFL team announced on Sunday.

Robinson is an alumnus of Carver High School in Montgomery.

Following five seasons at Kansas, Robinson joined the Chicago Bears after being passed over in the 2025 NFL Draft. But the Bears waived Robinson on July 22. Chicago waived Robinson when it signed defensive lineman Tanoh Kpassagnon, an eight-year NFL veteran.

In addition to his football play at Carver, Robinson helped the Wolverines win the AHSAA Class 6A boys’ basketball championship in 2018.

Another former Alabama high school standout went the opposite way from Robinson on Sunday in the NFL.
