The Patriots offensive line is getting its captain back.
David Andrews was activated from injured reserve on Saturday afternoon. The center had been sidelined for the last month with a broken thumb on his snapping hand, but he’s good to go for Sunday’s tilt with the 49ers.
There won’t be a Beau Allen sighting though.
Allen and Josh Uche both practiced this week and were eligible for activation, but apparently neither is ready for game action yet. The team has three weeks from their first practice back — which was last Wednesday — to move them from injured reserve to the 53-man roster.
