Now to the fun part the Linebackers and Edge players. This should be an exciting group this season with the veteran Free Agent signings, the return of Donta Hightower, and the emergence of young players that were forced into action earlier than expected last season.
Dont’a Hightower – Is the glue that holds this Defensive Team together. Hightower missed all of last season, opting out because of COVID. At the age of 31, Hightower is one of the more highly decorated players on the Patriots. The 9-year veteran (not counting 2020), and the former 1st round pick (2012) out of Alabama, is the prototypical inside linebacker at 6’ 3” 260 lbs.
