FOXBOROUGH — After releasing UDFA Ben Wooldridge in the first wave of roster cuts, it was expected that the New England Patriots would look to bring in another quarterback, whether that be on the active roster or the practice squad.
And they wasted no time.
The Patriots claimed quarterback Tommy DeVito off waivers from the New York Giants on Wednesday. He will now join Drake Maye and Joshua Dobbs.
However, given the speed of this move, it brought into question whether the Patriots feel confident about Dobbs. Specifically, head coach Mike Vrabel was asked if he is satisfied with what he's seen from the veteran quarterback this summer.
