FOXBOROUGH — The New England Patriots had to decide whether they wanted to go with the rookie or the veteran in terms of the kicker position for the 2025 season.
And in the end, it was their sixth round draft pick who won the job.
On Wednesday, Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel was asked why the team decided to go with Andy Borregales over Parker Romo.
"I thought it was competitive. I thought Parker really improved from the spring to the summer, and I think just the entire body of work, we felt like Andy was going to be our kicker," Vrabel explained.
