Mike Vrabel just did something at Patriots practice that Bill Belichick would never

Football season officially arrived on the practice fields outside of Gillette Stadium on Wednesday morning.

And true to form, New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel couldn’t help but stick his nose right in the middle of it.

During Day 1 of joint practices with the Washington Commanders, Vrabel was reportedly among the first to jump in and break up a skirmish on the field. According to Zack Cox of the Boston Herald, the fight broke out after a strong block in pass protection from Patriots rookie TreVeyon Henderson.

Bill Belichick probably would have stayed off to the side, watching with a wry smile during Vrabel’s playing days.
