Mike Vrabel considering position change for longtime Patriots starter

New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel did not rule out a potential move to linebacker for safety Kyle Dugger when speaking with media members on Thursday.

Dugger has started in the defensive backfield for the Patriots since his rookie season in 2020. He has 65 total starts under his belt with the team, but lately, he has been taking snaps with the second-team unit.

Rookie fourth-round draft pick Craig Woodson's sudden emergence in a deep safety room has Dugger looking like he could be on the outs in New England. The young defensive back has been taking reps with the first-team unit and showing flashes of his potential in training camp practices.
