Mercurial ex-Patriots cornerback returns to AFC East

Jack Jones is coming back to the AFC East.

The former Patriots cornerback has signed a one-year deal with the Miami Dolphins. Undeniably talented, New England drafted Jones in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, but he only lasted a season and a half in Foxborough.

Jones fell to the fourth round because of character concerns that plagued him throughout college, and he struggled to stay out of trouble with the Patriots.

The cornerback was suspended to conclude his rookie season because Bill Belichick was displeased with his injury rehab, and the following offseason Jones was arrested for bringing guns to Logan Airport.
